What is immigration ?

According to Oxford dictionary (noun.) cited on the APA section, reference (1) :  The action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country.

My own definition: Immigration is the process of going to a country different of the country of residence of a person, because of push factors of the country of residence and pull factors of the country that the person is going to. 

Pull factors

These are positive aspects that a country has, that create the desire on people from a foreign country to live or think of a better life in that country.

Push factors

These are the negative aspects that a country has, that make the people feel the necessity to leave their own country. 

But they are also the aspects that a country has that don't fit the pleasures of a person without being completely negative aspects.

My name is Valentina Salazar Munévar, I'm from the grade 10 A and on this web site I'm going to talk about immigration and the sub topics this big theme of discussion has, like the history in the U.S and in Colombia. 

These are the things I've learned throughout this bimester on the class of language and literature, and I hope to state facts about immigration and analyze this theme, but also to start an open conversation where by my opinions I leave you thinking about thins social and political issue.
